The Ceremony for inauguration of Data Center, Smart Classroom and Computer laboratory was held at the Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur on 11th March 2023. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman Higher Education Commission Islamabad inaugurated the IT facilities centers. The Data Centre was funded by HEC Islamabad, while Smart Class was jointly funded by HEC Islamabad and Sindh HEC. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed appreciated the efforts of Dr. G. Raza Bhatti and his team for planning IT Road Map and procuring best IT solutions. He prayed best wishes for team of The Shaikh Ayaz University for digital transformation. He further informed that the smart classroom concept is part of HEC vision 2017-2025. The Smart Classroom solution will help in enhancing teachers ICT capabilities in teaching and scientific research.
The Smart Classroom inauguration was followed by opening of Computer laboratory named after great scientist Al-Khwarizmi. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed admired availability of latest generation computers in the Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur. He prayed that students will get maximum benefit from the resources supplied to them under dedicated leadership of Dr. G. Raza bhatti with collaboration of HEC. He further ensured that HEC Islamabad will continue to extend its support to Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur.Dr. Mukhtar appreciated the Vice Chancellor decision toprocure ERP solution (project is in pipeline) for Shaikh Ayaz University. He further said, digitization is the only solution which ensures maximum and efficient utilization of resourcesin transparent manner.Dr. G.
