Introduction

At Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur, we believe in working with students to create future global citizens who are not only well educated, but also well-rounded.

To help reach that goal, we organize curricular and co-curricular activities which guide students how to organize and present an activity, how to develop skills, how to co-operate and co-ordinate in different situations-all these help in leadership qualities. It provides the avenues of socialization, self-identification and self-assessment when the students come in contact with organizers, fellow participants, teachers, and people outside the university during different activities. It inculcates the values to respect other’s view and feeling and makes them perfect in decision making, and problem solving skills. It also develops a sense of belongingness and provides motivation for learning. So, to develop the values like physical, psychological, ethical, academic, civic, social, aesthetic, cultural recreational, disciplinary values, and, above all, life skills among students, university organizes different activities.

SAUS believes that our students are the innovators of tomorrow, and we strive to provide university activities that encourage our students and educators alike to practice innovation today. We define innovation as the act of starting something for the first time in our existing context of work that would add value to our processes. Co-curricular activities take what students are learning in the classroom and builds upon that through talent shows, performances, competitions, clubs and additional classroom work. Extracurricular activities are another component of a well-rounded education — outside the regular academic program — that may positively impact a student’s success. However, besides being fun and a great way to socialize with peers, curricular and co-curricular activities can enhance a student’s time management and stress management skills, improving their overall productivity and academic performance.
