INTRODUCTION

Teachers are the national builders, responsible to educate and train the future generation for meeting demands of the society and world community. This prime objective of educational system of any country of the modern world can only be achieved when teachers are fully trained for properly utilization of modern technological instructional material in the classrooms. Their professional commitment plays leading role for uplifting students’ learning. The department of Education was established at Shikarpur Campus in 2014 with an idea of providing quality education to the individuals interested in adopting teaching as a profession. Currently, the department is offering B. Ed (Hons.) Elementary (4 years) and 2 year B.Ed. Extension program for those candidates who possess 2-year Associate Degree in Education (ADE).

MISSION

To provide exemplary programs that prepare teachers to make effective decisions in diverse contexts, promoting professional excellence within socio-cultural framework, bringing forth benefits to prospective teacher, community and the country. The Department of Teacher Education at Shikarpur Campus initially offers 4-Years B.Ed. (Hons) Elementary which can be recognized as a New Teacher Education Program for 21st Century Teachers.

2. Associate Degree in Education (ADE Two-Year)

The Department also offers 2-Year B.Ed. Extension program for those candidates that possess 2-years Associate Degree in Education (ADE).

The procedure and eligibility criteria for admission conduct and discipline of students, semester rules and regulations, scheme of studies of B.Ed.,elementary fees structure of first two years of B.Ed.,elementary program offered at main campus will be applied.
