Welcome to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities! It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) at Shaikh Ayaz University, located in Shikarpur (TSAUS), Sindh. Currently, our faculty consists of two academic departments: the Departments of English Language & Literature, and Department of Related Studies. Additionally, we oversee the Department of Education and Mathematics until they establish their own faculties. The establishment of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities reflects our commitment to expanding learning opportunities across various disciplines within the liberal arts, culture, and languages. As one of the major faculties at the University, FAH serves as a hub of learning, offering a diverse range of fields of study within the university system. Arts and Humanities disciplines are inherently creative, engaged, and interdisciplinary. A liberal arts education exposes students to diverse modes of thought, analysis, and inquiry, fostering new perspectives and equipping them with the skills and mindset needed to address contemporary challenges. Our faculty is dedicated to promoting social justice and fostering ethical, inclusive societies. FAH is home to a dedicated and qualified academic staff, blending experienced scholars with young, energetic educators. Together, they develop and implement curricula, contribute to research and innovation, and mentor students in their respective disciplines. Our faculty comprises experts trained at esteemed institutions both in Pakistan and internationally. Our departments offer a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, study tours, and access to academic databases and computer labs. Limited hostel facilities are being made to be available, and various scholarships, including merit-based and need-based options, are offered to our students. Looking ahead, FAH anticipates the completion of its new building at the Jacobabad Bypass Road campus in Shikarpur, featuring state-of-the-art facilities. We are committed to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped with knowledge, attitudes, and skills to excel in various social and professional settings. At FAH, we aspire to cultivate future educators, public intellectuals, journalists, critical thinkers, and leaders with strong religious and cultural values. Our faculty aims to uphold the values and perspectives of Kashmir on international academic and public platforms.
