The Shaikh Ayaz University, formerly Shikarpur Campus of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur was established in 2012 through a notification issued by Government of Sindh. The University is named after the renowned poet of Sindh Shaikh Ayaz who belonged to Shikarpur city.
