The Shaikh Ayaz University hosted a significant and productive meeting with senior officials of State Bank of Pakistan for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening mutual collaboration in the areas of student internships, financial literacy, research and development, entrepreneurship, professional training, and institutional capacity building.

The distinguished delegation from State Bank of Pakistan was led by Syed Samar Hussain, Chief Manager, and included Mr Tariq Aziz, Deputy Chief Manager, Mr Muhammad Fahim Arshad, Deputy Director, Mr Fawad Hussain, Assistant Director, and Ms Mehwish Aziz, Assistant Director.

Warm Welcomed

The guests were warmly welcomed by the Worthy Vice Chancellor of The Shaikh Ayaz University, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, along with a team of faculty members of university including Assistant Professor Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Mangnejo, Associate Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Rajper, Assistant Professor Dr. Attaullah Sahito, Assistant Professor Dr. Nadir Hussain Bhayo, and Assistant Professor Mr. Mehboob Ali Golo

MoU Agenda

During the meeting, both institutions discussed various avenues of cooperation to bridge academia and the financial sector. The proposed collaboration will facilitate internship opportunities for students, particularly in banking, finance, economics, business administration, and related disciplines. The MoU also aims to promote financial awareness and literacy programs, skill development workshops, career counseling sessions, joint seminars, research collaborations, and training initiatives for students and faculty members.

Vice Chancellor Remarks

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh highlighted the importance of institutional partnerships in preparing students for professional careers and enhancing practical learning opportunities. He stated that the collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan would open new horizons for students and contribute positively towards academic and professional excellence.
